Gold Star Award

Submitted by admin on Fri, 2008/02/01 - 10:48am.

Awarding Body:

UNDERGRADUATE MEDICAL STUDENTS, UOFC

Description:

Recognizes the best lecturers and small group preceptors in each teaching unit. The Gold Star is the highest award given out by the Calgary Medical Students' Association (CMSA). Usually, one or two top lecturers and small group leaders are recognized with Gold Star Awards. Each class is polled at the end of the course to choose the recipients for that course using a ballot that lists all lecturers and small group leaders. If voting has been close between two or more individuals, more than four lecturers and more than one small group leader may receive Gold Star Awards.
