MBA Society Award for Outstanding Teaching and Learning

Presented annually for outstanding teaching and contributions to student learning in the MBA Programs of the business school. Recipients must have the ability to convey the essence of subject matter to students. Their success in this area is shown by any and all of the following:
Student comprehension of subject material; Development of a curriculum relevant to today's business world; Ability to introduce and create class discussion of current business practices and events relevant to the subject material; Facilitation of class participation in discussion; Ability to enhance the classroom experience by utilizing a variety of teaching methods; Promotion of a high level of professor and student interaction, and Overall teaching effectiveness.

The professor's availability outside of class hours for assistance, as well as his/her attitude toward students and mentoring of students is also considered. The recipient of this award is determined by the MBA Society, based on nominations from MBA students.
